Mayor's Equity Initiative

Overview

As communities across the nation continue to protest unfair treatment of citizens, Daytona Beach Mayor Derrick Henry has created an equity initiative so the community can come together to help take steps to achieve the dream of a bias-free society.

Mayor Henry hosted a virtual listening session Monday, June 29. For future meetings, attendees can RSVP by filling out this form to receive the virtual meeting information.

Following the listening session, there will be focus groups who will work together during the next six months. Focus groups are: criminal justice, education, health/social services, media/business and neighborhood/clergy

The public can sign up to join one of the focus groups. In addition, Mayor Henry will continue to host listening sessions over the next six months as part of the initiative.
