Overview

The purpose of the Riverfront Master Plan is to develop a guiding document for improvements to the waterfront by designing promenades and park features that will compliment existing cultural facilities and Downtown commercial and residential uses.  The Riverfront Master Plan will be consistent with the goals of the adopted Redevelopment Plan for Downtown Redevelopment Area.  The redevelopment plan calls for a master plan for the development of the Downtown waterfront that includes linear park development with emphasis on grater uses and public access to the Halifax River, cultural and historic sites.
