Solid Waste

The Solid Waste Division promotes the health, safety, and aesthetics of the community through continued monitoring of the residential and commercial garbage, trash, and recycling collection operations.  The Solid Waste Division ensures these operations are done in accordance with the City's solid waste management contract and to operate these services to assure effective, economical performance to provide public value. The Division is also responsible to manage the Citywide cleanup of debris after major storm events, to operate the City C&D landfill in accordance with Florida Department of Environmental Protection and in a manner consistent with good environmental practices and to meet or exceed the FDOT contract use requirements for the maintenance of State Right-of-Ways located within the corporate limits.
