History
The DDA was established in 1972 and has been the major funding agency for Downtown Daytona Beach projects and improvements during the past 35 years.

  • Governed by Subpart E of The City of Daytona Beach Charter
  • The DDA is an Independent, Special Taxing District

Riverfront Shops of Daytona Beach
A focus of the DDA is to market and promote the historic Beach Street retail area, located between Bay Street and Orange Avenue, in Downtown Daytona Beach. The Riverfront Shops of Daytona Beach boasts more than 60 shops, restaurants, attractions and services, plus our exceptional Farmers’ Market—all in a splendid waterfront setting.
