Façade grants for residential properties
The purpose of the façade grant program is to provide assistance for improving building appearance and encouraging investment in residential neighborhoods.
Eligibility
Any residential building within any Redevelopment Areas, providing the following is met:
- Permitted use in the zoning district or returning it to such
- Improved parking for one car provided off-street.
Eligible projects
The intent of the grant is for visible improvements to the exterior façade with the following improvements:
- Painting
- Windows or door repair or replacement
- Porch replacement and carpentry
- Picket fences in front of buildings
- Removal or replacement of front yard chain link fences
- Awnings (including the removal of old awnings and canopies and installation of new canvas awnings)
- Installation of front lawn landscaping and irrigation
- Installation of brick, cobble, stone, or textured concrete
- Roof repair
Repair and/or replacement of building exteriors damaged by declared natural disasters
Project funding
Property owners will be eligible to be reimbursed one time for 50% of the cost of professional contracted labor for completed renovations up to $5,000.
