Colin's Park

In Memory of Colin Every

Colin EveryThe Daytona Beach Fire Department is proud of Colin's Park at 201 University Blvd., behind Fire Station #3.This two-acre, riverfront family park was built in memory of Colin Every, the son of a Daytona Beach Firefighter/Paramedic and elementary school teacher. Colin lost his life when he drowned tragically in March of 1994. The park has three themes: Safety, Recreation & Recycling.

Safety

Firefighters & paramedics offer several safety programs at this park. Local schools and children's groups are invited to utilize this park not only for recreation, but also as a learning environment for both land and water safety.

 Colin's ParkRecreation

Fun for the whole family! Colin's Park offers a children's playground, an open area for group activities, picnic pavilions with outdoor grills, fishing dock and park benches to enjoy the beauty of Daytona's only beachside riverfront park.

Recycling

Keep Daytona Beach Beautiful in conjunction with the City of Daytona Beach's Recycling Division  assisted in the development and construction of Colin's Park. An environmental theme has been incorporated into the park to educate citizens about the importance of recycling and other environmental concerns. Park benches, picnic tables and playground equipment made of  recycled materials were used in the park. Educational signs have been placed throughout the park highlighting what has been made from the recyclables.
