EMS Division
The EMS Division of the Daytona Beach Fire Department continues to be the provide superior patient care while being leaders when it comes to technology in the pre hospital care industry.
Under the direction of our training division, the department is always looking toward the future to innovative ways to provide the highest quality of service to the citizens and visitors of Daytona Beach.
The EMS Division responds to 85% of the call volume using 7 Advanced Life Support (ALS) Fire Engines and 3 Rescue Trucks staffed with licensed Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). The training division ensures that these personnel are highly trained by delivering Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Invasive Procedures Courses.
The Daytona Beach Fire Department also has an ALS competition team to showcase our skills while competing against other agencies around the world.
In addition to the coverage provided to the citizens and visitors of Daytona Beach, the EMS division provides EMS stand by care at local football games, concerts, and special events. Please take a look at our unique motor medic team that provides Advanced Life Support services during special events.
