The Daytona Beach Fire Department is committed to the safety and education of the community it serves. Our goal is to provide every citizen within our city the highest level of safety awareness training available. The department can best accomplish this through Fire Safety Education. We currently can provide a number of fire safety education programs for you. The programs can be for large groups or small groups of all ages, at your location or at one of the fire stations, at times convenient for you or your group.

The department can provide information and literature on many topics of fire safety, from home fire safety to work place fire safety. Visit our Fire Safety Home Page for fire safety tips. Below you will find a list of fire safety topics presented by the Daytona Beach Fire Department.

If you wish, please complete the Daytona Beach Fire Department Demo/Tour Request form and fax to our Community Education Office at (386) 671-4005.

For more information on arranging an education program, contact Lt.Larry Stoney, Community Education Officer at (386) 671-4006.

Fire Station Tours

Groups of up to 35 visitors may schedule tours to any Fire Station in Daytona Beach two weeks in advance. DO NOT CALL THE FIRE STATION TO SCHEDULE A TOUR. Call the Community Education Office or complete the request form.

Toy/Food Drives

Daytona Beach fire stations are often used as collection sites for toys, food or used bicycle drives throughout the year. This is coordinated with radio stations, non-profit agencies and church organizations. The D.B.F.D. does not determine who will receive the donated items, but rather allows the agencies to choose the recipients through their screening process. The drives are promoted through radio, TV and newspaper public service announcements.

Smoke Detector Programs

The Daytona Beach Fire Department often participates in Smoke Detector Giveaway programs for those citizens and residents of Daytona Beach who are unable to purchase a detector. All homeowners should have a working smoke detector installed in their home. Call (386) 671-4006 for further information.
