Our Daytona Beach: A Citizens Academy
The city of Daytona Beach offers a citizens academy to help familiarize residents with the functions of city government. The 10-week program offers hands-on and interactive sessions giving residents insight into a variety of municipal services.
The next class will begin in spring 2012.
Each session is three hours, on Tuesday mornings, from 9 a.m. to noon.

During the 10-week program, senior city staff will conduct sessions about their respective departments including utilities, public works, city clerk, leisure services, city manager’s office, finance, police, fire, code enforcement, human resources and more.
