What is the Community Paramedicine Program?

The Daytona Beach Fire Department's initiative to assist identified residents with non-emergent and chronic health needs to the right care and safety, the right provider or service, and preferably the right time.

How do I enter the program?

Daytona Beach residents are entered via a referral process through the DBFD. It is voluntary and there are no “out-of-pocket” costs.

Who do I call in an Emergency?

Call 9-1-1 with an emergency. The program does not replace emergency services.

Does Community Paramedicine replace resources such as Home Health or Primary Physicians?

No. The program does not replace any care, providers, or specialized services; only functions as an assistance/extension for care. Keep all appointments as planned.
