Overview
The Daytona Beach Youth Advisory Board will learn about local government and governmental procedures, and they will furnish input and helpful information to the City Commission as it relates to issues that affect the City's youth. The Youth Advisory Board shall consist of seven (7) members, from grades between 9 and 12 and members shall have at least a 2.25 GPA. The Youth Advisory Board shall make an annual report to the City Commission of their activities. The Youth Advisory Board will give young people the opportunity to be vested with knowledge and skills for the next generation of local leaders and promote regular and active civic engagement. It will also provide them with an opportunity to contribute through neighborhood projects & participation in certain City activities.
