The mission of the Planning Division is to assist the city in maintaining its comprehensive plan and land development regulations in a manner that responds to community values.


The Planning Division provides advice on planning and land development issues facing the city. This includes assistance in the formulation and administration of plans, regulations, programs and budgets for capital projects. The division provides the city with professional expertise in the following areas:

Track Development Projects Within Daytona Beach

The city has created an interactive map for residents and interested parties to view and track progress of proposed and current commercial projects in Daytona Beach. 

The easy-to-use, web-based application links to the city’s software, which stores all related project documents like permit applications, site plans, utility reports, surveys, etc. Currently there are more than 70 projects on the interface.
