Enforcement

This is done through a two-pronged approach:

Reactive: Conducted in areas where there are complaints of traffic-related issues

Proactive: Occurs in response to upticks in vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian issues

Combined with traffic crash data, these methods identify roadways and intersections with a high frequency of traffic crashes and violations.

How It Works

Once a particular area has been identified, officers aggressively address dangerous violations which contribute to traffic crashes.

Some of our more frequent moving violations are:

  • Running red lights
  • Speeding
  • Careless driving
  • Distracted driving
