[ARCHIVED] City prepares for Biketoberfest®

WEB_Biketoberfest_Oct 13 2020

Biketoberfest® 2020 promises to have a different look and feel than in years past. While some of the activities that traditionally take place during Biketoberfest® will not happen this year, bikers are still expected to visit Daytona Beach.

No matter how many people come to our community, the Daytona Beach Police Department is prepared to ensure a safe environment for Biketoberfest participants and residents. Established safety and traffic control measures, including motorcycle-only traffic patterns, will be in effect on Main Street during peak hours. Police will also enforce designated residential parking restrictions and issue violations for excessive noise from loud pipes.

In addition to the public safety aspect, there will be prominent signage to promote the countywide “Step Up Volusia” campaign, which reminds people of the CDC’s guidelines to wash hands, social distance and wear a mask.

For more information about the city’s COVID-19 protocols, visit www.codb.us/coronavirus. For more information about Biketoberfest, visit www.Biketoberfest.org.
